There is enough marketing material out there that provide high level ideas and pointers towards adoption of BPMS platform. However, we have not come across any of them that throws light on ground level realities and some essential details that are easily missed out. We have also seen several BPMS implementation methodologies and scope of those remain restricted to a bunch of slides and they never get followed in actual implementation.
Some of the key areas that contribute significantly to long term success or failure of BPMS implementation relate to overall program management, while other are focused on actual implementation practices. Some of these points may sound trivial; however, those are often the real causes of program issue or failure.
Below are some of these key issues that need to be handled carefully during BPMS implementation.
We are starting this series in which we will go deep into each of these points along with examples and how they can be put into practice.
