Overview

Gartner Research projects global spending on RPA software will reach $2.4 billion in 2022. An impressive 85 percent of large and very large organizations are expected to deploy some form of RPA within this timespan.

Adoption is on the rise, but it has also brought a new challenge: how to effectively manage and report on work processes, including both bot and human tasks. Orchestration is required to unify manual, semi-automated, and fully automated tasks across discrete systems. Additionally, automation continues to cause concerns regarding job security for human workers. Proper orchestration allows human workers to understand the advantages of their collaborative robotic co-workers.

Work orchestration between humans and bots has become critical to gain complete transparency of high-level business processes, performance against metrics, and identification of tasks which are overly dependent on human engagement. Access to this information will help identify and qualify processes which are candidates for further bot deployment.
